Chikas follows two Sydney sider girls who followed their parents’ dream of going corporate, only to decide they had dreams of their own to pursue. They both step out of their high flying, successful lives and into the dumpster fire that is share house living and highly irregular income (ie: none) as they struggle to adjust to a very different lifestyle: one where they are truly listening to their heart.
A heartwarming and hilarious web series detailing the hardship and heartbreaking of of the pursuit of something greater; and the very definition of success.
I co-created the short webseries alongside the original creator Genevieve Craig, as a proof of concept to apply for and receive funding, with the main focus to create more diverse opportunities for fellow actors and cast members that identify as queer, women, or are people of colour. I am proud to say our core team were all women - one of my proudest achievements.
