You are thrust into the shoes of Nassim, a teenage boy who has been poisoned in a deadly case of mistaken identity by a mysterious woman hellbent on recovering her bloodstone. Your only way to survive is to engage in a heart-pumping game of cat and mouse to secure your antidote...
30 Minutes of Danger is an adaptation of a short story from Jack Heath's best selling novel, 300 Minutes of Danger and directed by Grant Scicluna. The film pushes the boundaries of 360 film, leaning into its restrictions in movement to bring the immersion from the screen to your body. It uses depth maps, clever editing, spatial audio and built-in real-time interactivity. As the poison takes over and encroaches your vision, an eerie fog rolls in from far away, drawing closer - and you can simply shake your head to keep the poison at bay a little longer.
I worked on developing the script, negotiating and locking the co-production and funding through Screen Australia, and producing the film through to post production, interactive development and delivery.
